Interiors
These are the photos I took of the interiors of the house as I saw them for the first (and second) time. 229-10A street is a charming, odd house, featuring some very strange details: a gun closet for a previous owner’s collection of firearms, a stairwell built onto the house as an addition (the only connection between the upper and lower story), super low ceilings in the basement, and LOADS of wood-paneling. Ian Ward calls the house a ship, and it really isn’t far from the truth – the shower in the basement bathroom has porthole lights, there’s a desert island mural in the upstairs bathroom, and one of the subconscious reoccurring themes between artists is water.
